Comparision of non-vascularized fibular graft as an intramedullary strut v/s conventional bone grafting for management of nonunion of long bones

Objective: The purpose of our study is to describe experience with the non-vascularised fibular autogenous grafts that was used for treatment nonunion long bones including tibia, femur & humerus and analyse compare results in terms postoperative wound infection, radiographic evidence union, pain functional disability, success rate procedure etc. conventional iliac crest bone grafting plating, at a tertiary care centre.Methods: conducted department Orthopedics SMSMC, Jaipur from September 2017 June 2019 included 80 cases bone. Amongst these, 40 were treated strut grafting, all followed postoperatively demographic parameters, union time, postop complications.Result: 32 31 (96.9%) showed complete mean time interval 17.77 weeks while only 29 (85.3 %) amongst 34 graft 18.41 weeks.Graft site noted 20.6% no had this problem; EHL weakness 34.4% them recovered fully end follow up.Conclusion: According better option as maximum less very few complications than grafting.
